Lucie Kuncová’s research interest focuses on the influence of parental characteristics on human mate choice. Specifically, she is testing the resemblance between partner and opposite-sex parent in various characteristics (body odour, face, voice and personality). Moreover, she investigates the role of the quality of relationship with opposite-sex parent during childhood on partner preferences and the influence of the partner – opposite-sex parent similarity on the partner and sexual satisfaction.

She has received Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Science, Charles University (study programme – Biology) and Master’s degree at the department of Zoology (specialization in Ecology and ethology). Currently, she is a PhD student in Zoology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University. Her supervisor is Jan Havlíček.
